So I thought I would update since we officially went to the Dr today.
I overestimated on their weights but they seriously look and feel bigger than they really are! Also they eat more food than I do.(Well I give them more food, half of it ends up in the high chair and on the floor but still they inhale food--it truly is a sight to see. I have to have it all prepared in the beginning, cause if I don't keep up then they have total meltdowns.
Kael: 23 lb 10 oz (55th percentile) Height: 31 inches ( 75th percentile)
Kyson: 23 lb 5 oz (50th percentile) Height: 30.5 inches (70th percentile)
So I was thinking man they must just have big heads cause they seem so big to me but the head circumference is in the 45th percentile so somehow those heads are below average???
Anyway, I've come to the conclusion that it is all in the cheeks and since you boys have not only one but 2 parents with chubby cheeks, you are destined to follow suit!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BOYS!
Kyson and Kael are officially 1 year old today. We had a little family party last night to celebrate. They dug right in to the cake. While laying in bed, I told Chad that I couldn't believe that we survived the past year! We are so blessed to have these little boys. They are so much fun! So here is some pics and some memories from the past year.I still remember how nervous I was last year to go to the hospital the next day...it was labor day while I would not be participating in true labor I knew that our lives would never be the same. The c-section went well (for the boys and I at least), Chad spent the time on the floor in the Operating room as he was literally green. Then when he thought he felt better he got up to look at the boys and told the nurse he felt he was going to pass out so she asked if he could walk back to the room to lay down, he said "NO" so she quickly got him an office chair with wheels(closest chair) and with his cap and gown on he was wheeled through the hospital halls in an office chair literally green! I on the other hand watched the c-section with a mirror. They both came into this world healthy at 37 weeks. Kyson 5 lbs 1 oz and Kael 5 lbs 11 oz. One of my favorite moments is when the nurse called me to come down to the nursery..Kyson's temp was slightly cool so she had him under the warmer and she put Kael in their with them because they stopped crying when they were together. I came and they were lying facing each other holding hands with one hand and holding in each other's pacifiers with the other hand. The viewing window was full of people watching them..
SO THEN LIFE BEGAN... Well, I still remember after the first month, Chad telling me that this is the hardest thing he has ever done his entire life. It truly was so hard. Luckily my mom was their at least for part of the day the first month or so. I really attempted nursing simultaneously but they spit up so much that I had so take double the amount of time and nurse them separately. We werent getting much sleep in the beginning, Chad was so tired having to go to work early so when they were 3 weeks old we moved them to a crib in their room (on the other side of the house) I got sick of walking so we put a twin bed in their room and that became my bed for a few months..
Well, you boys have given us a run for our money but we can't imagine life without you! WE LOVE YOU and Happy Birthday!
