Kyson and Kael are officially 1 year old today. We had a little family party last night to celebrate. They dug right in to the cake. While laying in bed, I told Chad that I couldn't believe that we survived the past year! We are so blessed to have these little boys. They are so much fun! So here is some pics and some memories from the past year.I still remember how nervous I was last year to go to the hospital the next day...it was labor day while I would not be participating in true labor I knew that our lives would never be the same. The c-section went well (for the boys and I at least), Chad spent the time on the floor in the Operating room as he was literally green. Then when he thought he felt better he got up to look at the boys and told the nurse he felt he was going to pass out so she asked if he could walk back to the room to lay down, he said "NO" so she quickly got him an office chair with wheels(closest chair) and with his cap and gown on he was wheeled through the hospital halls in an office chair literally green! I on the other hand watched the c-section with a mirror. They both came into this world healthy at 37 weeks. Kyson 5 lbs 1 oz and Kael 5 lbs 11 oz. One of my favorite moments is when the nurse called me to come down to the nursery..Kyson's temp was slightly cool so she had him under the warmer and she put Kael in their with them because they stopped crying when they were together. I came and they were lying facing each other holding hands with one hand and holding in each other's pacifiers with the other hand. The viewing window was full of people watching them..
SO THEN LIFE BEGAN... Well, I still remember after the first month, Chad telling me that this is the hardest thing he has ever done his entire life. It truly was so hard. Luckily my mom was their at least for part of the day the first month or so. I really attempted nursing simultaneously but they spit up so much that I had so take double the amount of time and nurse them separately. We werent getting much sleep in the beginning, Chad was so tired having to go to work early so when they were 3 weeks old we moved them to a crib in their room (on the other side of the house) I got sick of walking so we put a twin bed in their room and that became my bed for a few months..
Well, you boys have given us a run for our money but we can't imagine life without you! WE LOVE YOU and Happy Birthday!

LynDee. congrats on making it through this year. it looks like you have had lots of fun. the boys are too cute. i love how big they are. i still can't get over how blonde they are. when are you guys coming down for a visit now that you have some more reasons? i hope it will be soon. i haven't seen you in years. i am loving seeing what is going on w/ your little fam though.
Your kids are so cute, I miss them a ton and wish we could have been there for the party. Hopefully it works out for you guys to come down soon!
Super cute...I can't get over how much they look like your and Julee's baby pictures. And the only reason I know this is because I have a soccer album that has a picture of Julee when she is a baby...don't ask. Anyway, they are very cute. I can't believe you think they weigh that much that's crazy! Marcia's son is 2 and only weighs like 20 lbs.
One year already, i bet that went fast when you look back on it, but the days probably seemed long at the time. Congrats on one year down! your boys are super cute and so lovable. I love their chubby cheeks too. I am glad we got to visit and I can't wait to see you next time.
What cute little boys! I hear you about the first year, but I think that it gets better. It's still hard, but it's a different hard and I don't know that I'd say it's as hard as the first year. If you can survive that though you can survive anything!
What? We can not believe they are a year already. How fast time goes. Happy Birthday Boys! Lyndee- thanks for the text. Pacee loves to look at the picture. She points and says, "Oh mom, look at Calli" They are finally catching on to being cousins. It will be fun to get them together again. Also, Pacee loves to bless Calli at night in her prayers. She should have lots of blessings coming her way thanks to Pacee:)
Thanks for the birthday wish, Lyn. I'm impressed that you have such a good memory. I ran across a picture of a you and I and a cake you made me for my 19th birthday the other day. "Better than Schaf Cake" if I remember right. =)
Your post on your little guys is so cute. I got teary eyes and a stingy nose when I read about them wanting to be together under the warmer and holding hands. So darling. I need to come see the little Chads. I think you're amazing for nursing twins. It's hard enough with one.
Love you.
Your kids are so cute...congratulations on making it through the first year.
LynDee you have such cute kids. I can believe how big they are. No word on Nicole yet. Call me if you go to your parents so we can get together.
What a cute idea, going back over the past year. I didn't realize how close in age your boys are to Bennett. He'll be one on the 10th. However, he isn't walking on his own, only has three teeth, and weighs 19 pounds. He's got some catching up to do.
Those little guys are so cute. Wish I could borrow them sometime and say they were mine to random people.
That was the cutest post. COngrats on making it to a year, seriously, I cannot imagine how hard! What a woman!
I also loved that post. So fun to hear the story of the past year. Those pics are so precious and your boys are so handsome. Seems like the years go by so fast, but there are some moments that that forever. :) Congrats on making it through the first year. I have a feeling you will have your hands full for a long time though. haha!

Hey!
Things were so crazy when we were out there. Sam sprained his ankle pretty bad playing b-ball. His leg was swollen half way up to his calf. It was a little tricky taken care of him & the kids. His leg is still swollen and purple it seriously looks worse! I hope he gets better soon I need his help!
Other than that things are pretty good! I know everyone's already said it but your boys are so dang cute!
HOly crap, I can't believe they are one!!! crazy. I still haven't even seen them in real life yet. That is so funny about Chad in the OR! That will be Troy for sure! HA, crongrats on surviving the first year with twins, you are my hero!
That must be the biggest sink ever. Those dudes are awesome. Wish I could see them sometime. lol
